Folia opens almost anything: EPUB, PDF, Kindle (MOBI, AZW, AZW3, AZW4, PRC), CHM, FB2, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, OpenDocument, RTF, HTML, MHT, Safari web archives, text in any encoding, Markdown, CSV, comics (CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT), 30+ archive formats, images, audio and video.
Getting files into Folia
In Folia, tap + → Import from Files.
In another app, tap Share → Open in Folia (or "Copy to Folia").
Connect your iPhone or iPad to a Mac (Finder) or PC (iTunes / Apple Devices) and drag files into Folia under File Sharing.
Folia's library also appears in the Files app under On My iPhone → Folia.
Frequently asked questions
A book says it is protected by DRM. Books bought in other stores (Kindle, Apple Books, Adobe-protected EPUB) are encrypted and can only be opened in that store's app. Folia does not remove DRM.
Text shows strange characters. Open the ⋯ menu while reading and choose Text Encoding to pick the right encoding (GBK, Big5, Shift_JIS, Windows-1251…).
An encrypted 7z or RAR archive won't open. Encrypted ZIP archives are supported; encrypted 7z and RAR archives are not yet.
How do I restore my purchase? Settings → the Folia banner → Restore Purchases.
How do I cancel a subscription? iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Folia.
